Great Hollands Primary School recognised by Secretary of State for national outcomes
Great Hollands Primary School has received formal recognition from Bridget Phillipson, Secretary of State for Education, for the outcomes achieved by disadvantaged pupils at the end of the 2024/25 academic year.
In a letter to Headteacher Richard Ferris, the Secretary of State noted that the school’s performance places it among the strongest nationally. She recognised the dedication and professionalism of staff, alongside the sustained effort and commitment shown by pupils.
This recognition is a clear endorsement of the consistent work taking place in classrooms and across the wider school community. It reflects high expectations for every pupil, careful attention to teaching and support, and a shared commitment to helping children achieve well.
It also speaks to long-term work to remove systemic barriers to learning, ensuring pupils are supported to make strong progress over time. This is not a short-term result, but the outcome of sustained focus, expertise and collaboration, both within the school and with support from colleagues across Maiden Erlegh Trust.
The Secretary of State closed her letter by asking that her congratulations and thanks be passed on to staff and pupils, and by encouraging continued leadership and sharing of effective practice to support strong outcomes for children and young people more widely.
