Steve Jump appointed Director of our Secondary Hub
We are pleased to share that Steve Jump, Headteacher of Maiden Erlegh School, has been appointed as Director of our Secondary Hub from 13 April 2026.
This new role extends the successful leadership model already in place for Primary, Special Education and Alternative Provision across Maiden Erlegh Trust (MET). It is designed to strengthen collaboration between schools, so that our students benefit from consistent standards, shared best practice and strong support.
It is important to stress that Steve Jump will continue as the Headteacher of Maiden Erlegh School where he will remain fully engaged in school life. To ensure that day-to-day leadership remains strong and well supported within the school, two experienced colleagues will provide extra leadership capacity. Alison Morgan and Ceri Burns will step up from their roles as Deputy Headteachers at Maiden Erlegh School to the position of Co-Heads of School.
Both are highly respected members of the Maiden Erlegh School community, and we are delighted that they are taking on more responsibility. We are confident that with this structure the school will continue to thrive.
Mr Jump said:
“I look forward to working with all our secondary schools; supporting them on their school improvement journeys and having the opportunity to share the brilliant work that is happening across the MET Secondary Hub.”
Andy Johnson, Director of Education at Maiden Erlegh Trust, added:
“This role will strengthen collaboration, supporting Headteachers and their teams to work ever more closely together to benefit the young people and families we serve. It is a model that is already working well in Primary, Special and Alternative Provision and I am delighted that Secondary will now benefit from Steve’s expertise and experience.”
We are excited about what this means for our secondary students and families, and we look forward to the positive impact Steve’s leadership will bring.
Please join us in congratulating Mr Jump on his appointment.
